About The Position

We are seeking a CMDB Architect & Administrator to own the design, implementation, governance, and operational integrity of the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and complete configuration item (CI) data in secure environments where automated discovery may be limited due to security constraints.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics (STEM) field
  • Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance preferred at time of hire
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Systems Engineering: Experience decomposing space-ground system requirements into software and system-level architectures
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Experience with CAMEO and/or MagicDraw
  • Programming & Technical Tools: Familiarity with Java, Python, MATLAB
  • Ground Systems: Experience with satellite scheduling, mission data transport, and payload situational awareness
  • Cloud Technologies: Knowledge of cloud-based system architecture and deployment
  • Simulation & Modeling: Experience with aerospace modeling tools such as STK (Systems Tool Kit)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers, mission partners, and stakeholders to translate mission requirements into robust system architectures.
  • Decompose high-level space-ground system requirements into: Software architecture Network architecture Internal and external interfaces Behavioral design specifications Verification and validation test cases
  • Support ground-based satellite scheduling (pre-planned and ad hoc) and payload situational awareness capabilities.
  • Coordinate with software development, integration, and test teams to ensure system components meet mission objectives.
  • Support mission data transport, handling, analysis, and ground system integration activities.
  • Contribute to system modeling, simulation, and trade studies to validate architecture decisions.
