About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team to help us support a program for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The ideal candidate will possess specialized expertise across multiple systems and software disciplines, with a general knowledge of related fields and application implications. As a Systems Engineer, you will provide in-depth analysis and technical support for systems software products, ensuring seamless integration and user support. You will also assist in planning and conversion for new hardware/software products, maintaining currency and configuring related software products. This position is located in Arlington, VA.

Requirements

Eight (8) years of experience in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology.
Experience working in an AGILE environment.
Experience leveraging cloud native technologies and capabilities such as machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize application user experience, reporting, and automation for seamless operations.
Experience making recommendations for and implement architectural and engineering changes by leveraging cloud native capabilities to reduce operational cost and improve performance.
Experience in web component applications, XML, including schema definitions & generation (XSD), relational databases, and serving as a Webmaster.
Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority, demonstrating expertise in software systems engineering.
Must possess IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Secret clearance at the time of proposal submission.

Responsibilities

Provide specialized expertise within multiple systems and software disciplines, offering technical support and problem resolution.
Perform in-depth analysis and support for systems software products, including design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
Assist in planning and conversion for new hardware/software products, ensuring smooth transitions and upgrades.
Maintain currency, debug, and configure related software products to ensure optimal performance.
Conduct operating systems planning and evaluation for performance analysis, capacity planning, and hardware upgrades.
Develop or modify operating systems applications based on specifications, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of programs.
Interface with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards, and improve overall efficiency of the operating system.
Prepare comprehensive product documentation to support system operations and user understanding.
Interface with customers to gather information on system requirements or problems, ensuring solutions meet their needs.
