Rockstar Games is on the lookout for a passionate and talented Systems Engineer to focus on IT Operations. This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. WHAT WE DO The Rockstar Games IT team delivers global IT systems infrastructure to Rockstar's development teams. We maintain our infrastructure to the highest standard, with an emphasis on preventative actions rather than reactive. We constantly review our processes with the aim of automating wherever possible. We are a team spread across 3 continents, that work closely together, to achieve our goals to a high standard, always.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in the IT industry.
  • 1+ years’ experience in a third level support position.
  • Windows server installation and administration (Active directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, DFS/R, Office 365).
  • Linux server configuration and administration skills (Ubuntu/RHEL).
  • VMware/Nutanix/Hypervisor, installation and administration via vCLI/API/Ansible.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team or individually as required.
  • Self-motivated & confident with the ability to adjust and respond to rapidly shifting priorities.
  • Willingness to occasionally work flexible hours, or out of hours as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience scripting with Powershell or Python languages.
  • Good understanding of design and architectural patterns.
  • Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery.
  • Database configuration and administration (MySQL/Percona/MSSQL).
  • Version control system exposure (Perforce/Git/Subversion).
  • Containerization administration and configuration (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Pulumi).
  • Experience with configuration management systems (Puppet/Ansible/AWX).
  • Industry standard qualifications MCSE/CCNA/VCP or industry equivalent are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting day-to-day IT Operations to drive maximum system uptime.
  • Incident management of reported problems through to resolution.
  • Using SRE methodologies to resolve incidents in a permanent, repeatable manner.
  • Deploying and maintaining Windows and Linux servers using DevOps methodology.
