The Systems Engineer is responsible for developing custom medium and high throughput automated research systems. Together we'll be giving scientists around the world the tools to craft the next generation of medical treatments, improvements in agricultural crops, and other life science innovations. Work is performed in a team environment consisting of various engineering disciplines, project managers, and technicians. You are a motivated individual who doesn't like to do just one thing. You're seeking the opportunity to perform a diverse set of engineering tasks. Your work will span from initial design to final system ready to ship. You'll collaborate with software and hardware engineers to design, build and test the best system for our customers to use. You will be directly responsible for project quoting, design of automated systems, requirement documentation, user documentation, testing of software and automation equipment, and technical support. You will work in a team environment of various engineering disciplines, project managers and technicians. This position reports to the Manager, ASG Systems Engineering and is part of the Access Solutions Group located in Indianapolis, IN and will be an on-site role.
