About The Position

You will be the Systems Engineer - Skunk Works for the Automated Test Team which is responsible for the integration and test of software products in a laboratory environment. What You Will Be Doing As the Systems Engineer - Skunk Works you will be responsible for delivering end‑to-end automated test solutions that validate aviation‑system software, from hardware‑in-the-loop simulations to system‑level health diagnostics. Your responsibilities will include: Developing and maintaining automated testing infrastructure and software test harnesses using Red Hat Linux, Ansible, Cucumber, and GitLab. Integrating COTS and Lockheed‑Martin automation tools into the test environment and ensuring they operate on air‑gapped (classified) networks. Collaborating with customers and internal decision‑makers to translate requirements into test automation strategies. Providing technical leadership to multidisciplinary engineers, guiding rapid implementation of test solutions. Continuously acquiring new technical skills and applying them to emerging challenges. Requirements

  • The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
  • Bachelors or above degree in engineering/technical discipline or 5+ years of relevant/related experience
  • Experience with Linux operating systems (Red Hat preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Git Software Configuration Management
  • Experience with container orchestration technologies
  • Experience with infrastructure as code approaches (Ansible preferred)
  • Experience with Helm and Kubernetes
  • Experience with the automation of software-based systems
  • Experience with software languages such as Java, C++, Python, etc.
  • Experience with software test tools that deal with application behavior, such as Cucumber
  • technologies such as Docker, Podman, containerd, etc.
  • Familiarity with flight simulation technologies and experimentation
  • Familiarity with Gitlab and Atlassian products
  • Familiarity with the concepts of DevSecOps
  • Familiarity with aircraft Mission Systems (RADAR, IR Tracking, ect.) and with the Operational Use of a Modern Tactical Airborne Platform
  • Familiarity with Agile SW Development and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
  • Familiarity with cloud computing
  • Current Security+ Certification
  • Active Top Secret Clearance w/ last completed investigation in last 5 years
  • Willingness for occasional travel
