About The Position

As the Senior Staff software engineer you will lead the air vehicle simulations team through the full development lifecycle, including requirements generation, software design, implementation, integration, and flight test. Further Information About This Opportunity This position is in Palmdale, CA Discover Palmdale. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or above from an accredited college in a relevant field of study; or equivalent experience
  • C/C++ experience
  • Development of real-time systems or use of real-time operating systems (RTOS)
  • Developing software for embedded systems
  • Software development process experience in a team environment (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with embedded real-time systems
  • Experience with static analysis tools and dynamics analysis tools
  • Experience with Systems Engineering processes (requirements development, use cases, data flows, etc.)
  • Experience Integrating hardware and software
  • Experience with Git/Bitbucket/Bamboo/Linux
  • Experience with C#, Python
  • Experience working with safety/flight critical software development processes (e.g. MIL-STD-516C, MIL-HDBK-1797, AC-17-01)
  • Experience with automated test methodologies
  • Experience with networking protocols (e.g. IP, UDP, RTP, etc.)
  • Experience with Modeling and Simulation (6DOF, AFSIM, Comms)
  • Ability to build/maintain relationships, collaborate with others, and manage interpersonal dynamics
