About The Position

Acuity is seeking a Systems Engineer who is a ServiceNow subject matter expert and is highly skilled and experienced with a strong background in ServiceNow development and administration, with a proven track record of implementing and managing ServiceNow solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to enhance the ServiceNow platform. Internal deadline to apply: February 10th, 2026 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Strong understanding of ITSM processes and best practices. Experience with ServiceNow modules such as Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Asset Management, and IT Operations Management (ITOM). Experience configuring and customizing ServiceNow GRC/IRM modules (Policy, Risk, Audit, Vendor Risk) to meet business requirements. Knowledge of ServiceNow integration capabilities, including REST and SOAP APIs. Experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping. Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web technologies. Ability to document the technical design, data governance, architecture, and specifications of the solutions. Provide post-deployment support and maintenance, resolving issues and implementing enhancements as needed. Responsible for identifying application performance bottlenecks and making remedial measures. Stay updated on the latest ServiceNow products, features, and best practices. Train users on system features and product enhancements. A keen interest and aptitude for problem identification and resolution. Ability to work cooperatively with technical and non-technical system users and industry vendors. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or continued field specific education. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of experience working with ServiceNow, including development and administration. Proven track record of successfully delivering ServiceNow solutions in a lead role. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: A keen interest and aptitude for problem identification and resolution. F ull understanding of operating system hardware, software, network components, security, and/or database management system. Ability to provide exact audit trials and recovery points during project life cycles to ensure maximum system stability. Ability to work cooperatively with technical and non-technical system users and industry vendors. Good listening ability as well as the ability to competently train others. Willingness to respond to problems with little notice as well as to adjusting off hours scheduling to meet company project installation dates. Depending on job responsibilities, may be required to reside within a 2-hour radius of the Acuity corporate headquarters. Be accountable and respond when reached out to for assistance during and outside of typical work hours, this may include participating in an off-hour call list.
