About The Position

At Intelliforce, we engineer trust into every layer of national defense. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) modernization. You’ll design and document secure architectures, ensure alignment with DoD Zero Trust standards, and strengthen enterprise security across critical systems. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with modern technologies—including REST, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Single Sign-On (OAuth and SAML)—while shaping mission-aligned security strategies that protect and enable the intelligence community. Schedule and Work Details Location: Government or Contractor Facility, Ft. Meade, MD area Schedule: 40 hours per week, normal day shift

Requirements

  • Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (must be active). We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances.
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of Systems Engineering experience in programs of similar scope and complexity
  • An additional five (5) years of Systems Engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree (12 years total)
  • Hands-on experience with REST, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, NiFi, and database systems such as Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL
  • Understanding of JSON, XML, and web-based integration protocols
  • Familiarity with Single Sign-On (OAuth and SAML) and ICAM technologies
  • Experience developing documentation and frameworks supporting Zero Trust principles
  • Strong technical background in DoD or federal system environments

Nice To Haves

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
  • Experience with PKI and identity management systems
  • Understanding of scalability and high-availability architectures
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and vulnerability management
  • Experience conducting system requirements analysis and architecture development
  • Skilled in briefing technical concepts to technical and non-technical personnel
  • Experience with Confluence and JIRA
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Provide systems engineering and technical support for the ICAM Zero Trust implementation effort
  • Develop and maintain documentation including release notes, user guides, frameworks, SOPs, and system plans
  • Research technical topics, analyze integration challenges, and propose architecture improvements
  • Configure, test, and validate system components supporting identity and access solutions
  • Collaborate with capability teams to define architecture, conduct technology assessments, and contribute to strategy documents
  • Support risk assessments, compliance tracking, and technical reviews aligned with Zero Trust mandates
  • Develop program review materials and brief technical content to diverse audiences
  • Engage with Software Development, Test, and System Administration teams to ensure ICAM capabilities meet operational requirements
