As a Technical Systems Engineer on our DevOps team, you will play a critical role in architecting, scaling, and sustaining Kubernetes infrastructure supporting advanced analytic capabilities. Requirements

  • Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required).
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Twenty or more years of Systems Engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline.
  • Five additional years of Systems Engineering experience may substitute for the degree, for a total of twelve years required.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
  • Hands-on experience using the Linux CLI in operational environments.
  • Expertise building and sustaining Kubernetes infrastructure, including internal networking.
  • Experience with patching, SSP ownership, and compliance-driven engineering.
  • Working knowledge of STE and STN security compliance standards.
  • Strong documentation discipline using Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong collaboration skills with engineers and mission stakeholders.
  • Ability to adjust quickly as mission and security needs change.

Nice To Haves

  • Infrastructure as code experience using Terraform, Salt, or Ansible.
  • Experience with Rancher, Helm, and advanced Kubernetes features.
  • Experience with observability tooling such as Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana.
  • Security plus or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a high-performing DevOps team to build and operate Kubernetes environments across secure platforms.
  • Design and maintain Kubernetes network policies for secure, efficient in-cluster communications.
  • Perform system patching, maintain System Security Plans, and keep documentation audit-ready.
  • Support ongoing sustainment aligned to STE and STN security compliance frameworks.
  • Use Confluence and Jira for documentation, issue tracking, and team coordination.
