About The Position

The Systems Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will: Â· Develop, manage, and maintain project requirements, ensuring traceability from stakeholder needs through design, implementation, and operations. Â· Participate in and facilitate design reviews, ensuring compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards. Â· Support project closeout activities, including verification and validation, final documentation, as-built records, and lessons learned. Â· Coordinate with project managers, engineers, CM analysts, and stakeholders to ensure systems integration. Â· Contribute to the creation, revision, and maintenance of SE governance documents, including the SEMP, SEP, and SE Handbook. Â· Standardize processes for requirements management, design review, risk management, and V&V across the enterprise. Â· Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure governance aligns with organizational goals and industry best practices. Â· Support training and rollout of SE processes to other engineers and project teams. Â· Work cross-functionally with project managers, engineering disciplines, operations, and executive leadership. Â· Participate in enterprise SE working groups and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Must have 4, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
May be reduced with completion of advanced education
Must have 3, or more, years of experience in systems engineering or closely related engineering roles.
Must have demonstrated experience with SE lifecycle processes, including requirements development, design reviews, verification & validation, and project closeouts.
Must have a strong understanding of SE standards such as INCOSE SE Handbook or ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288.
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

Have experience supporting facilities or infrastructure projects.
Have a Bachelorâs degree (or higher) in Systems Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Architecture Engineering, or related technical field.
Have experience developing or maintaining governance documents such as SEMP, SEP, or SE Handbook.
Be familiar with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and practices.
Have experience coordinating with diverse technical and operational stakeholders.
Have experience with metrics-driven process improvement.
