About The Position

The Release Train Engineer Internship supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will: Participate in all Scrum ceremonies: Including Daily Scrum (stand-up), Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective meetings. Assist with backlog refinement: Help break down user stories, estimate effort, and prioritize tasks. Work on tasks within a sprint: Contribute to development, testing, documentation, or design tasks as assigned by the team. Contribute to documentation: Help create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and other relevant documentation. Participate in continuous improvement efforts: Contribute to discussions and initiatives aimed at improving the team's processes and performance. The successful candidate will: Have excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Be able to work independently and as part of a team. Have strong analytical and critical thinking skills. This internship is expected to last 6 months from start date Resumes, in month and year format, must be submitted with application in order to be considered for the position. The selected candidate may be assigned as an employee for one of our teammate companies.

Requirements

  • Must have 1, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
  • May be reduced with completion of advanced education
  • Must be currently pursuing, or recently completed, a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Must have a basic understanding of Agile principles and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Must have, or obtain, an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Have experience working with geographically separated project teams
  • Have a basic understanding of Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile frameworks is a plus.
