About The Position

Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements software that runs computers and technologies like smart devices, networking equipment, or machinery | Determines systems software design requirements | Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency | Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures | May participate in all aspects of software development, from detailed programming to high-level system design

Requirements

• Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
• Technical expertise.
• Planning skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• By applying systems engineering theory and related knowledge, assists systems engineers with overall systems infrastructure including assisting with engineering, supporting implementation and coordinating integration projects.
• Provides technical assistance and resolution when systems or software engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after construction.
• Assists with systems and system infrastructure and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of system principles.
• Collaborates with systems engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental systems issues.
• May support projects or participate in disaster recovery exercises.
