About The Position

As Systems and Network Administrator you will : Serve as the primary operational owner and point of contact for Telephony systems administration, including day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and support for voice-related services. Provide secondary support for enterprise networking, including routing, switching, WAN, and teleworker connectivity, with an emphasis on troubleshooting, administration, and configuration. Maintain a foundational level of generalized systems and infrastructure knowledge to support integrated IT operations and cross-functional troubleshooting efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Administers the operation of all LAN/WAN related network service according to company policies and procedures.
  • Assists in the implementation of communication services.
  • Troubleshoots communication services for all voice and data needs. This includes phone service, WAN Communications and other systems used for communication within AmeriCU.
  • Support day to day operational network systems that provide the necessary metrics for monitoring our environment proactively.
  • Assists in the implementation and daily operational support of all server hardware and software throughout the organization.
  • Prepares all network assets with appropriate information and maintains and tracks this information. This includes hardware, software, licensing, contract information, contract terminations and lifecycle management of all systems.
  • Is required to maintain an agreed to level of response times for all requests.
  • Tracks and reports back to the Manager, Member Technology Infrastructure when response and resolution SLA requirements are in jeopardy.
  • Maintains an agreed to uptime of application systems throughout the organization.
  • Plans, designs and implements new tools for the purpose of supporting current or new MTS SLA’s.
  • Addresses issues with these systems, focusing on hardware, wiring, communication, and associated challenges, employing basic network troubleshooting.
  • Supports or conducts installations and rewiring initiatives as necessary.
  • Arranges for external repair services if the situation demands.
  • Documents all relevant information in regard to Policies, Procedures and information on MTS tasks.
  • Performs documentation and tracking of all requests to department.
  • Administrator will take an active role in holding business partners to agree to SLA’s.
  • Administrator is responsible for operational support of SLA management with all business partners and may assist in the maintenance of the relationship with entry level responsibilities.
  • Follows all change management processes and procedures as required and makes recommendations for improvement to the Change Management process.
