About The Position

Providing critical engineering support for the design, integration, and sustainment of global Naval C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence) networks Managing complex virtualized environments and ensure the seamless delivery of mission-critical data via Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) Working onsite to support a global user base Identifying and mitigating technical risks while ensuring all systems remain compliant with DISA and RMF cybersecurity standards Collaborating with Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic to enhance the situational awareness and situational readiness of the Fleet #LI-JC1

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related technical discipline
  • Three or more years of professional experience in systems or network engineering, specifically supporting Navy C4I Tactical Networks
  • Experience with routing/switching fundamentals, LAN/WAN architecture, and troubleshooting in a DISA-compliant environment
  • Experience with administration of Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server
  • Hands-on experience with VMware Horizon (VDI), vSphere, and brokered connections
  • Experience supporting Risk Management Framework (RMF) efforts, including vulnerability remediation and cyber authorization packages
  • Must meet DoD 8140/8570 CSWF IAT Level II requirements (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or SSCP)
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with the verified ability to upgrade to Top Secret
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • CCNP (Enterprise/Security), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Red Hat Certified Professional (RHCP), Juniper certifications (JNCIA/JNCIS), or similar
  • Direct experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and Everfox (formerly Forcepoint) Trusted Thin Client (TTC)
  • Configuration and management of Juniper Firewalls (SRX series)
  • Knowledge of Circuit to Packet (CTP) emulation and Software Defined Networking (SDN) technologies
  • Practical experience working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other Agile/DevSecOps environments
  • Familiarity with Navy shore communications facility equipment and mission-critical network lifecycle support
