About The Position

The Systems Analyst III</b> will support the Texas Health and Human Services Commission on the State Health Analytics Reporting Platform (SHARP). This role is responsible for creating data pipelines, dashboards, and reports to meet business requirements using modern analytics and ETL tools. The contractor will translate business requirements into functional data pipelines and visual reports, collaborating with program staff to ensure deliverables meet customer needs. The position also involves participation in testing of pipelines, reports, and dashboards to ensure proper function, as well as publishing and promoting reports as needed.

Requirements

  • 8 years of experience creating dashboards or reports using Tableau, PowerBI, or similar tools.
  • 8 years of Extract -Transform -Load (ETL) and data management experience using Informatica.

Nice To Haves

  • 4 years of experience working with very large -scale data sets in Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or similar platforms; Snowflake experience strongly preferred.
  • 4 years of experience with data analysis.
  • 2 years of experience working with Informatica ETL tools.
  • 2 years of experience working with Tableau to create dashboards and reports.
  • 2 years of experience working with PowerBI to create dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Create data pipelines, dashboards, and reports using Informatica IICS, Tableau, or PowerBI based on business requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional data pipelines and Tableau/PowerBI reports.
  • Collaborate with program staff to ensure reports and dashboards meet customer needs.
  • Participate in testing of pipelines, reports, and dashboards to verify proper function.
  • Work with team members to publish and promote completed reports as needed.
  • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve or automate existing computer systems.
  • Confer with personnel of relevant organizational units to identify problems and define input/output requirements.
  • Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
  • Review computer system capabilities and specifications to determine feasibility of requested program changes.
  • Perform studies and cost/benefit analyses of alternative solutions to support business objectives.
