About The Position

As a Systems Administrator, you are the backbone of the technical infrastructure that keeps mission-critical operations running without a hitch. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who views "uptime" as a personal mission and enjoys the challenge of maintaining complex, high-stakes environments. You will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our systems, providing the stable foundation upon which our developers and analysts build the future. Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (or a related discipline) with 5–15 years of experience.
  • OR 9–20 years of professional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Technical Skills: OS Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
  • Virtualization & Cloud: Experience managing virtualized environments (VMware/Hyper-V) and familiarity with AWS infrastructure.
  • Networking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and implementing STIGs for system hardening.
  • Automation: Ability to automate tasks using Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain server hardware, operating systems, and enterprise applications to ensure peak performance.
  • Proactive Monitoring: Monitor system health and security logs to identify potential issues before they impact the mission, implementing rapid resolutions and root-cause analysis.
  • Security & Compliance: Execute regular security patches, updates, and backups in accordance with strict agency protocols to safeguard sensitive data.
  • User Support & Provisioning: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls while providing high-tier technical troubleshooting for complex system errors.
  • Modernization & Scaling: Collaborate with engineering teams to automate routine tasks and assist in the migration or integration of cloud-based infrastructure components.
