ABOUT THE JOB: We are seeking a Systems Administrator to own the deployment, maintenance, and support of software and tools across our manufacturing lines. This role blends traditional system administration with elements of network administration, focusing on ensuring production systems are secure, reliable, and optimized for factory operations. You’ll collaborate with engineers, operators, and cybersecurity experts to keep our manufacturing environment running smoothly at scale. WHAT YOU"LL DO: Deploy, configure, and maintain hardware, servers, and software systems across the manufacturing line while managing their full lifecycle, including provisioning, updates, tracking, and retirement. Design, configure, and support network infrastructure—switches, VLANs, routing, wireless, and segmentation—to ensure reliable, low-latency connectivity for production environments. Build, harden, and maintain physical and virtual servers for manufacturing applications, ensuring performance, security, and high availability. Monitor system, server, and network performance across the factory floor, proactively identifying and resolving issues that could impact production throughput or on-time manufacturing. Support deployment and integration of factory stations, endpoints, and production equipment, coordinating with engineering and operations to ensure smooth transitions and minimal downtime. Implement security controls, access management, and compliance standards across servers, endpoints, and network infrastructure. Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network issues in time-sensitive manufacturing environments and provide clear updates to stakeholders. Document deployment processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides, while recommending improvements that increase scalability, reliability, and factory efficiency.
