About The Position

We are looking for a full-time, experienced and self-motivated Systems Administrator to join our IT Team to support the day‑to-day operation, maintenance, and reliability of the organization’s IT systems and network infrastructure. This role focuses on implementing approved solutions, monitoring system health, resolving technical issues, and supporting end‑user productivity across multiple locations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science from a four‑year college or university, and no less than five years of progressive experience supporting enterprise IT systems and infrastructure, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of Windows 11, Windows Server (2016 and newer), Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Foundational networking knowledge, including switches, VLANs, routing, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and network monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with enterprise backup solutions and storage platforms (SAN/NAS).
  • General hardware knowledge including servers, desktops, laptops (Windows and macOS), networking equipment, and wireless access points.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to follow established standards and procedures while working independently on assigned tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support users with varying technical skill levels.
  • Ability to communicate highly technical concepts into easy-to-understand actions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced operational environment, as well as ability to reprioritize on a moment’s notice.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting multi‑site or hybrid environments is preferred.
  • Exposure to project‑based IT work or structured change management processes is a plus.
  • Experience supporting virtualization platforms (Hyper‑V), preferred.
  • Entry‑ to mid‑level networking certification (e.g., CCNA or equivalent), preferred.
  • Microsoft certifications related to Windows Server, Azure, or Microsoft 365, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration and maintenance of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and Exchange services.
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 and Azure Hybrid Active Directory administration, including user access, configuration changes, and routine maintenance.
  • Support virtualization environments, including Hyper‑V hosts and virtual machines, by performing routine administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with the maintenance and configuration of SAN and NAS storage systems.
  • Execute and monitor enterprise backup jobs and assist with the restore testing and documentation function.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot assigned network infrastructure components, including LAN, WAN, SD‑WAN, VPN (site‑to‑site and remote access), VLANs, routing, DNS, and DHCP, following established standards.
  • Support the administration of SD‑WAN environments by monitoring connectivity, assisting with policy updates, and participating in testing activities under guidance.
  • Assist with firewall and endpoint security administration, including rule updates, monitoring alerts, and responding to incidents.
  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot managed switches, routers, and wireless access points in accordance with approved designs.
  • Support network segmentation and inter‑VLAN routing changes as directed to maintain separation between business and operational networks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and application issues escalated from IT support teams.
  • Support workstation, printer, and copier environments, including maintenance and consumables management.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including account provisioning and hardware setup.
  • Train end users on newly deployed applications, hardware, and IT services through individual or group sessions.
  • Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives by assisting with user training related to phishing, email security, and acceptable use.
  • Follow established IT policies, procedures, and change management processes.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps as required.
  • Research technical issues and propose solutions for review by IT leadership or senior staff.
  • Participate in infrastructure projects by executing assigned tasks and providing operational support.
