CGI Federal is seeking a Systems Administrator to support a multi-platform batch processing environment, providing Linux and Windows server administration, CONTROL M/EM support, and mission critical infrastructure maintenance for a large federal agency. This position is located in Baltimore, MD

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
  • Bachelor's degree +7 years of relevant IT experience
  • Strong RHEL and Windows Server administration experience.
  • Hands-on experience with CONTROL M/EM installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Scripting skills (Shell, Python, PowerShell).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper V).
  • Strong diagnostic and problem resolution skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting scheduling environments in federal or enterprise settings.
  • Knowledge of batch workload automation concepts.
  • Familiarity with federal environments is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain CONTROL M/Enterprise Manager servers, clients, and agents.
  • Perform Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server maintenance, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Support migrations, rehosting, and software upgrades for scheduling tools and distributed systems.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts, utilities, and reporting tools to improve processing workflows.
  • Identify, triage, and resolve infrastructure issues, coordinating with vendors when required.
  • Monitor virtualization systems and server performance across environments.
  • Ensure security compliance and enforce user access standards.
  • Provide documentation, status updates, problem reports, and weekly activity summaries.
