About The Position

Leidos Health and Services Sector currently has an opening for a On-Site Systems Administrator to work on site in Washington, D.C. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Military OneSource mission. The Military OneSource Program provides 24/7 support services for military members and their families, similar to a commercial Employee Assistance Program (EAP). This program provides a broad array of information, resources, education, referrals, and counseling to about 4.7 million participants which includes military service members, their families, and eligible civilians at locations worldwide. The Military OneSource program serves as a “one source” for resource and information encompassing a comprehensive support system. This role: Customizes and configures system modules, workflows, forms, fields, business rules, UI policies, and related components to align with organizational processes and requirements. Manages user roles, permissions, and access controls to ensure appropriate levels of access to system functionality and data. Designs and implements workflows to automate processes, approvals, notifications, and task assignments using the Salesforce workflow engine. Integrates systems and applications through APIs, web services, and integration tools to ensure data consistency and efficient information exchange. Develops and manages custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide insight into service performance, trends, and improvement opportunities. Manages platform data, including imports, exports, cleanup, and transformation activities, to maintain data accuracy and integrity. Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues and incidents related to system platforms to ensure minimal user disruption. Implements configuration changes through controlled change management processes to minimize risk and maintain platform stability. Provides end-user support, helping users effectively utilize system capabilities and resolve technical concerns. Plans and manages platform upgrades, patches, and enhancements to ensure all system instances remain current and aligned with evolving features. Implements security measures, data protection protocols, and compliance standards across system platforms to ensure data security and regulatory compliance. Performs remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and targeted inquiries, determines appropriate solutions based on reported issues, and guides users through the resolution process. Reviews and updates tickets, close resolved issues, and perform routine system checks, maintenance, and updates across organizational platforms. Responsible for supporting disaster recovery solutions (i.e., RTO).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline with four to six years of operating systems and systems administration experience.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, system design, implementation, and remote management.
  • Strong technical expertise in server and platform administration.
  • Experience configuring and supporting enterprise applications and integrated systems.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong understanding of system security controls, access management, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage moderately complex assignments.
  • U.S. citizenship and fluency in English required.
  • Ability to successfully pass criminal history, fingerprint background checks, and credential verification required.
  • Ability to maintain and retain suitability investigation and clearance as required.
  • This position requires a separate, quiet, private, confidential space to work from, as well as having access to your own reliable high-speed internet hard wired to your home (coax or fiber from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) to your home.) Using a hot spot from a mobile device (tethering) or wireless ISP is not acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, manage, and maintain enterprise system platforms and associated operating systems and applications.
  • Customize and configure system modules, workflows, forms, fields, business rules, UI policies, and automation processes to align with organizational requirements.
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls to ensure appropriate system functionality and data security.
  • Design and implement automated workflows using the Salesforce workflow engine to support approvals, notifications, and task assignments.
  • Integrate systems and applications through APIs, web services, and integration tools to ensure consistent and efficient data exchange.
  • Develop and manage reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide visibility into system performance, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Manage platform data activities including imports, exports, transformations, and data cleanup to maintain integrity and accuracy.
  • Monitor system health, conduct system audits, and perform routine maintenance to ensure stability and performance.
  • Install, validate, and maintain system-wide software, patches, upgrades, and enhancements to ensure optimal functionality and compliance.
  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support by troubleshooting system faults, diagnosing operating system and hardware issues, and resolving incidents with minimal disruption.
  • Support and participate in system upgrades, backup and recovery processes, and disaster recovery planning to meet defined recovery time objectives (RTO).
  • Implement configuration changes through established change management processes to maintain system stability and reduce risk.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for users requiring assistance via phone, email, or chat, and guide users through issue resolution.
  • Maintain system documentation related to configurations, procedures, and updates.
  • Collaborate with other technical teams and stakeholders to resolve incidents and support infrastructure improvements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
