About The Position

Blueport is seeking a Systems Administrator to work onsite at our Walpole Facility, to support and enhance the internal Information Technology function. This role offers an opportunity to make an immediate impact by applying best practices in information technology within a rapidly growing organization. Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across systems, networks, and applications.
  • Solid knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).
  • Working knowledge of networking (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
  • Familiarity with AWS (EC2, VPCs).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to manage priorities and expectations.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on system reliability and security.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Must be able to commute to our office daily - not remote position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of hands-on systems administration experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Windows Server environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and domain management.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V).
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server is a plus.
  • Experience with RADIUS and network authentication technologies preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, Network+, Security+) are a plus.
  • Experience supporting remote users and distributed environments.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain day-to-day operations of servers, systems, and network infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, patch, and upgrade operating systems, applications, and hardware.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure availability, reliability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls (e.g., Active Directory, O365).
  • Perform routine backups and support disaster recovery processes.
  • Support virtualization environments (e.g., Hyper-V) and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS).
  • Configure and maintain networking components including firewalls, VPNs, and routing.
  • Apply security updates and ensure compliance with IT and security policies.
  • Provide support for endpoints, including laptops and mobile devices in a remote environment.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation and configurations.
  • Coordinate with vendors for support, procurement, and issue resolution.
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.
