About The Position

Are you looking for an opportunity to share your experience in Zero Trust Architectures (ZTA) and virtualization to safeguard our nation? As a systems security and network security engineer you can identify the tools and processes needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to lead the development and implementation of security solutions that will protect and scale our nation's infrastructure. On our team, you’ll troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of network and security devices, applications, identifying tools, and industry best practices. You’ll use your curiosity for technology and market trends to further research and develop security solutions. Using your knowledge and experience in Zero Trust capabilities, you’ll assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls. In this role, you’ll closely impact integrated air defense operations. With mentoring, challenging hands-on problem-solving, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers. This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like virtualization, Hyper Convergence Infrastructures (HCI), and Virtual Private Cloud Networks. We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a system administrator leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to modernize the network, so your clients achieve their goals. Requirements

• Experience with Zero Trust tool capabilities, such as CyberArc, Forcepoint, and Palo Alto
• Experience with Hypervisor tools, such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V
• Knowledge of private cloud infrastructure and closed environment cybersecurity tools
• Ability to develop, engineer, implement, integrate, and sustain ZTA and virtualized infrastructures
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree
• Cyber Security or Security+ Certifications

Nice To Haves

• Experience in DevSecOps, engineering, and market research
• Knowledge of DoD systems and processes
• Knowledge of Hyper Convergence Infrastructures (HCI)
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization tools
• Ability to work independently
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Certification

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
• Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.
• Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas.
• Leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

• Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
• The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).
• The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
