This senior-level role will provide advanced software engineering, architecture design, and technical leadership for mission-critical Navy systems. The candidate will lead development efforts, ensure system scalability and security, and support modernization initiatives aligned with DoD standards.
Requirements
- Active Secret Clearance
- Master's level degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science.
- 10 years of professional experience in computer design, software development or computer networks
- Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or C#
- Experience leading development teams or projects
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, system architecture, and software design patterns
- Experience in DoD or federal IT environments
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting Navy or NAVSEA programs
- Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with cloud environments or containerization technologies
- CISSP or advanced cybersecurity certification
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead design, development, and integration of complex software systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and programmers.
- Architect scalable and secure software solutions aligned with DoD and Navy requirements.
- Oversee full software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities.
- Ensure compliance with RMF, STIGs, and secure coding practices.
- Support system integration, testing, and deployment strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity, network, and systems engineering.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues and system performance challenges.
- Develop and maintain high-level system documentation and architecture diagrams.
