About The Position

This senior-level role will provide advanced software engineering, architecture design, and technical leadership for mission-critical Navy systems. The candidate will lead development efforts, ensure system scalability and security, and support modernization initiatives aligned with DoD standards.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Master's level degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science.
  • 10 years of professional experience in computer design, software development or computer networks
  • Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or C#
  • Experience leading development teams or projects
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, system architecture, and software design patterns
  • Experience in DoD or federal IT environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Navy or NAVSEA programs
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with cloud environments or containerization technologies
  • CISSP or advanced cybersecurity certification
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, development, and integration of complex software systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and programmers.
  • Architect scalable and secure software solutions aligned with DoD and Navy requirements.
  • Oversee full software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities.
  • Ensure compliance with RMF, STIGs, and secure coding practices.
  • Support system integration, testing, and deployment strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity, network, and systems engineering.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues and system performance challenges.
  • Develop and maintain high-level system documentation and architecture diagrams.
