About The Position

As a Systems Administrator at Pentagon Technologies, you will provide comprehensive support and administration of client hardware including hardware deployment, software, and active directory administration. You will be a part of a small, high-performing IT team that is dispersed and working from multiple Pentagon facilities. This position reports to the Manager, IT Support Services. The role is 100% office based in Hayward, CA.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience with Associate’s Degree in IT or Computer Science, or High school diploma with equivalent related experience
  • Strong Customer Service skills in working with diverse stakeholders required.
  • 1+ years’ experience working with PCs, LANs, and/or data communications required.
  • 1+ years’ experience supporting Microsoft and operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite applications required.
  • 1+ years’ experience supporting Apple products and operating systems required.
  • Must have strong knowledge of Server and PC configuration, installation and break/fix troubleshooting.
  • Must have a basic understanding of web services and html
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, data communications, TCP/IP, LANs and network infrastructure, systems and network security is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft System Configuration Manager SCCM preferred.
  • Helpdesk or call center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide client, server configuration and deployment services including mobile devices.
  • Provide end user technical support.
  • Provide system security administration including group policy configuration.
  • Ensure proper tracking of company technology-based assets.
  • Manage Technology Vendors relationships including ordering hardware and IT supplies.
  • Administer AD (Active Directory).
  • Assist with management of SIP phone systems.
  • Assist with administration and monitoring of critical system services including system health, network health and backups.
  • Provide printer and other peripheral device support.
  • Performance of other duties/special projects as requested.
