About The Position

Founded in 2000, San Antonio-based CaptureRx is a leading 340B solution provider that puts patients first, touching millions of patients' lives through innovative products and services that support relationships among payers, providers, pharmacies, and patients. Summary: The Systems Administrator I provides advanced end-user and systems support for Windows-based environments and core IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for resolving escalated desktop and application issues, supporting server operations, performing system patching, maintaining endpoint security, and ensuring reliable backup and recovery operations. The Systems Administrator I works closely with the IT Infrastructure team to support daily operations, respond to security threats, and maintain stable, secure systems in a regulated healthcare IT environment. Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across Windows endpoint and server environments.
  • Working knowledge of: Windows 11 operating systems
  • Active Directory and domain services, including Azure AD / Entra ID sync, DNS, DHCP, and related roles and features
  • Microsoft 365 / Office 365 and collaboration tools
  • Windows Server (2019 or later), including patching and basic administration
  • VPNs, wireless connectivity, and basic networking concepts
  • Endpoint security platforms, preferably SentinelOne or similar EDR/XDR tools
  • Patch management and backup solutions, such as Druva, Jungle Disk, or equivalent platforms
  • Standard office and endpoint-connected devices, including printers, scanners, fax devices, TVs, and other workplace IoT equipment
  • Multi-factor authentication and endpoint management tools, such as Duo MFA and PDQ Connect (or similar)
  • Cisco Meraki firewalls and switches at a basic operational level
  • Synology NAS/SAN platforms at a basic support level
  • Cloud platform fundamentals, including AWS basic concepts
  • PowerShell and scripting for system administration and automation (intermediate to advanced usage preferred)
  • Ability to respond to security alerts and follow established incident response procedures.
  • Ability to communicate technical and security concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong written documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond effectively to changing needs.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
  • 3–5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure roles.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Windows environments and Active Directory.
  • Experience performing workstation and server patching.
  • Experience responding to endpoint security or malware incidents.
  • Experience with backup and recovery tools such as Druva, Jungle Disk, or similar platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a regulated or compliance-focused environment is a plus.
  • Network Administration or related technical certification preferred .
  • Security+, Microsoft, or endpoint security certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows operating systems, desktop hardware, peripherals, and installed applications.
  • Diagnose and repair endpoint hardware and OS-level issues.
  • Install, configure, and update software and hardware following established procedures.
  • Create, modify, and manage user accounts, groups, and access in Active Directory.
  • Train and support non-technical staff on software and IT tools.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and accountability of hardware and software assets.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and system changes.
  • Assist with the administration and maintenance of Windows Server environments.
  • Perform routine workstation and server operating system and application patching in accordance with established schedules and change procedures.
  • Monitor patch deployments and troubleshoot failed or incomplete updates.
  • Monitor server backups and review application and system logs.
  • Support endpoint encryption and BitLocker administration.
  • Assist in managing antivirus and endpoint protection systems.
  • Research, analyze, and resolve system and server-related issues.
  • Monitor SentinelOne dashboards and alerts for endpoint security threats.
  • Investigate, contain, and remediate identified threats in accordance with established security procedures.
  • Perform endpoint isolation, remediation, and rollback actions as required.
  • Escalate confirmed or high-risk security incidents to senior infrastructure or security personnel.
  • Document security incidents and remediation actions.
  • Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot backup and recovery solutions, including Druva, Jungle Disk, or similar platforms.
  • Verify successful completion of backup jobs and address failures.
  • Perform file and system restore operations as required.
  • Participate in backup validation and restore testing activities.
  • Escalate backup or data integrity issues as appropriate.
  • Work closely with IT team members and third-party vendors on escalated or complex technical issues.
  • Participate in system maintenance, patching cycles, and IT projects.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend process or technical improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support IT operations.
