About The Position

NextGen Security is an electronic security systems integrator that offers commercial and industrial companies industry knowledge, engineering design, implementation, management, and on-going maintenance services. The company focuses on hiring experienced and qualified talent in the security industry. This System Technician role is for an experienced electronic security installation technician to join a fast-growing and dynamic team. The position involves physically installing field cabling and equipment, performing system programming, and handling project activation and commissioning. Some travel may be required for this role.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience with installing and maintaining Electronic access control systems.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with installing and maintaining IP-Based video management systems
Networking and IT knowledge.
Ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
Superior problem solving and communication skills.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Familiarization with local electronic security codes and industry standards.
Understanding and ability to work safely in a chemical plant environment.
Experience with Microsoft products such as Outlook, Work, Excel Etc.

Nice To Haves

Access Control System Vendor Certifications in Software House, Genetec, ProWatch and/or Lenel or similar.
Video Management System Vendor Certifications in Genetec, OnSSI, MaxPro, and/or Milestone or similar.
Intrusion Detection System Vendor Certifications in Senstar/Optellios, and/or FFT.
Experience in computer operating systems, network design and implementation.
TWIC Cardholder.
