About The Position

PC/Network Technician should have experience and demonstrated knowledge in computer troubleshooting and repair, an understanding of basic network principals and Microsoft Active Directory, and be able to thoroughly follow written or verbal direction, and adhere to company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities:   Setup and repair of desktop computer and laptop systems running Windows 7 and Windows XP operating systems. Install and configure various software applications, including operating systems, office suites, anti-virus, anti-malware. Creation and use of a workstation imaging system to be used as a tool in the setup of new and/or repaired computer Setup local and network printers Setup email and VPN access on smartphones, and tablets Install and swap aging network equipment, computers, monitors, and printers. Ongoing troubleshooting and repair of general IT issues for local and remote users.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent systems knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows XP operating systems.
  • Familiarity with general PC hardware components (video adapters, network cards, RAM, etc.)
  • Experience with various computer peripherals such as printer, scanners, monitors
  • Excellent understanding of general network principals and TCP/IP networks.
  • Proficient in all MS Office suite of products
  • Superior communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to consistently follow installation steps and procedures in exacting detail
