System Director Talent & Workforce Experience

NYU Langone HealthBinghamton, NY
$66 - $98

About The Position

The System Director, Talent & Workforce Experience is a senior strategic leader responsible for shaping, advancing, and sustaining the culture, capability, and experience of the United Health Services workforce. This role provides enterprise-wide leadership across a broad and interconnected portfolio: workforce engagement, organizational culture, organizational effectiveness, onboarding and new employee experience, retention, leadership and executive development, succession planning, system-wide learning — including Learning Council governance and mandatory learning compliance — and active partnership in UHS’s pursuit of ANCC Magnet Recognition. As a core member of the HR leadership team, the System Director serves as UHS's internal architect of culture change — translating organizational values (Compassion, Trust, Respect, Teamwork, and Innovation) into tangible workforce behaviors, leadership practices, and employee experiences. This leader is a primary HR driver of the UHS High Reliability Organization (HRO) Cultural Integration Initiative (2025–2027) in partnership with Press Ganey, accountable for embedding psychological safety, just culture, and high-reliability principles into how UHS operates every day. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in culture-building, organizational development, and leadership capability — paired with the credibility and executive presence to influence at all levels of the organization, from the frontline to the Board.

  • Demonstrated experience leading culture change or organizational transformation in an organization of 3,000+ employees; 5,000+ preferred.

  • Experience designing and facilitating executive development and succession planning processes at the VP level and above.
  • Proficiency with Workday HCM, particularly learning, talent, and reporting modules.
  • Experience with LMS platforms; Skillsoft Percipio or comparable digital learning platform preferred.

  • Familiarity with Press Ganey engagement methodology, HRO frameworks (AHRQ, IHI), or comparable culture change models strongly preferred.
  • Experience with organizational design methodology, change management frameworks (Prosci, Kotter, or equivalent), and team effectiveness tools.
