About The Position

Patriot, LLC is seeking an experienced System Developer to join our onsite team in Washington D.C. at a location with easy Metro access. The selected candidate will: Participate in the architecture and design of new and existing systems. Develop and maintain system and software documentation, including system requirements, design documents, and user manuals. Monitor and troubleshoot system and software environments, identifying and resolving technical issues as required. Integrate systems using programming, automation scripts, APIs, and runbooks. Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, and PowerShell for reporting and task automation. Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow platform components, including custom applications, workflows, integrations, automation, and dashboards. Design Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and implement high‑quality telemetry (metrics, logs, traces) to support accurate SLO calculations. Build dashboards, alerts, and automated reporting to track SLA/SLO compliance and error budgets. Administer Microsoft Entra identity services and maintain secure access controls and directory configuration. Configure and optimize Microsoft Intune Conditional Access policies to enforce secure access to enterprise resources. Develop and enforce compliance policies to ensure secure, standards-aligned system operation. Navigate and utilize the ServiceNow ITSM tool for incident, request, change, and project management. Maintain knowledge of cloud service models (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS). Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes. Maintain knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including testing, release management, and deployment processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 Years of Experience Systems engineering.
  • Scripting in Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Windows native API work, API integrations, runbooks, and automated system integration.
  • Working with commercial, open‑source, and cloud solutions (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS).
  • Microsoft Entra administration.
  • Managing enterprise compliance policies.
  • ServiceNow development: custom apps, workflows, integrations, automation, and scripting (JavaScript, Glide, API development).
  • 4+ years contributing to system architecture and design (patterns, reliability, scalability).
  • 4+ years monitoring and troubleshooting systems and software environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune configuration policies.
  • Eligible for Public Trust suitability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • United States Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Design and manage Microsoft Entra Purview Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) policies.
  • Zscaler cloud security platforms (ZIA/ZPA).
  • SolarWinds, Dynatrace, or similar monitoring platforms.
  • ITIL v3/v4 certification preferred.
