About The Position

The System Administrator is responsible for the reliable operation, maintenance, and security of the organization’s IT infrastructure. This role manages on‑premises and hybrid systems, including servers, storage, networks, and core identity services, ensuring high availability, performance, and data protection. The System Administrator works closely with IT teams to support business operations, resolve escalated technical issues, and implement infrastructure improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 3–7 years of experience in a System Administrator or similar role
  • Strong experience with Windows Server and/or Linux environments
  • Hands‑on experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V)
  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hybrid environments (on‑prem + cloud)
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python)
  • Experience with monitoring tools and alerting systems
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and best practices
  • Experience supporting enterprise hardware platforms
  • Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE or equivalent experience)
  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+
  • VMware VCP
  • Linux+ or RHCSA

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and support Windows and/or Linux servers
  • Manage on‑premises infrastructure including physical and virtual servers
  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services
  • Perform server patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity
  • Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system, server, and infrastructure issues
  • Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V
  • Maintain system documentation, standards, and procedures
  • Collaborate with networking, security, and application teams
  • Respond to escalated incidents and participate in on‑call rotations
  • Assist with infrastructure projects, migrations, and upgrades
  • Enforce security best practices and compliance requirements
