About The Position
Under general supervision from the Manager of IT Operations, the System Administrator will provide the organization with an expert level of technical expertise in Windows and Linux Server Administration. Areas of responsibility and career development may expand to other areas of Information Technology including data center infrastructure, security, physical servers, hypervisors, network communications, storage and data protection, and public cloud.
Requirements
- Expert level experience with five or more years of server infrastructure responsibilities with combination of physical server installation/repair and ownership of Linux, Windows Server, Hyper-V (or other clustered hypervisor experience such as VMware or Nutanix) required
- Experience with high-available redundant solutions including load-balancing and clustering required
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory administration preferred
- Experience with SAN/Storage technologies such as Dell, NetApp, PureStorage, Isilon preferred
- Experience with Hybrid/Public cloud experience with Azure or AWS preferred
- Experience Network troubleshooting and packet capture analysis preferred
- Experience with Backup and Recovery preferred
- Experience with scripting such as Jenkins, Ansible, PowerShell, Perl, Terraform/IaC preferred
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Cisco, F5 a plus
- Experience with ServiceNow CMDB a plus
- Experience with Splunk administration a plus
Responsibilities
- Implementation and operational administration of hardware and software upgrades and deployments
- Apply security remediation, vulnerability, and patch management
- Collaborating with security/compliance, system and network architects to design and implement enterprise systems serving internal and external customer needs
- Maintaining infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity management
- Improving, maintaining, and disaster recovery application migration
- Logging, monitoring, and alerting of infrastructure
- Documentation of infrastructure process, procedures, and asset management
- Ensuring data integrity, availability, security, and recoverability
- Participating in on-call rotation, incident response, and be a point of escalation for the team
