A CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph Location: Linthicum, MD Salary: 122K - 208K Compensation and labor categories are defined in accordance with program requirements and government guidelines. Salary within the posted range is determined based on an individual’s experience, education, certifications, and overall qualifications, and may be further adjusted based on benefit selections. Job Description: Creates, and maintains RedHat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS). Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches. Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines. Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality. Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support. Troubleshoot server issues. Administer customer accounts Deploy monitoring tools. Deploy applications and tools. Assist with escalated customer tickets. Installation and cabling of equipment
Requirements
- 10 years system administration experience
- Linux command line system administration (CentOS, RedHat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent) experience
- Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository
- Experience working within a cloud environment a plus (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines)
- Experience or knowledge of RedSeal Network Mapping tool a plus
- Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi)
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field (additional 5 yrs experience w/o degree)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Syslog/NxLog
- Experience with Nagios or other similar monitoring applications
- Scripting experience (Python/Perl)
