About The Position

We are looking to hire a Systems Administrator to join the JMM team. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should have the patience to communicate with internal and external customers. Do you enjoy working in the IT department? This role supports the mission to Share Christ – Love People by maintaining, upgrading, and providing support for client software, hardware, and networks. The Systems Administrator should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and be available to respond after hours. The ministry has 5 Core Values. Requirements

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating environment
Knowledge of Windows and Apple Operating System
Cloud environments (Azure knowledge a plus)
Experience in networking a plus
Endpoint Security
1 year-experience in the technical field
Ability to work well independently and as a team
Good communication, organizational and problem solving skills
Experience in Agile environments
Office 365 and Active Directory

Nice To Haves

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer license is a plus
Computer certification a plus

Responsibilities

Setup, troubleshoot, upgrade, support, and administrate Windows servers at multiple sites, which includes firewalls, test computer equipment, back up databases, install and update malware software, and install and rebuild existing servers as well as processes
Troubleshoot and support of local and remote users on Windows utility/application software
Manage network domains and Windows based network services; plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information residing in all Windows based systems
Plan and oversee the development and support of a specific Information Technology area or project
Coordinate technical aspects of work for the successful completion of a project
Attend training to remain competent in the Technology Infrastructure field and by maintaining a current base of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and systems
Remain available to ensure a consistent workflow in the department which may include working some weekend hours or evenings
Complete system backup processes
