General Purpose This position is responsible for professionally administering all incoming calls, ensuring phone calls are redirected accordingly, greeting customers in a professional and friendly manner, and provide a variety of clerical duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer successful completion of High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate
  • Six months of relevant experience and/or training, or combination of education and experience preferred
  • One year of customer service experience or related training preferred

Responsibilities

  • Comply with requirements of Signature Banking.
  • Have the switchboard open and operating promptly at 8:00 a.m. and throughout the day until 5:00 p.m.
  • Ensure phone calls are answered within two rings and redirect the call accordingly
  • Interact in a friendly, professional and courteous manner with internal and external customers
  • Retrieve after hour messages from answering machines and deliver messages to appropriate staff timely
  • Greet customers who enter the switchboard area and contact the appropriate retail staff to assist the customer
  • Provide callers with general information, such as company address, directions to the company location, fax numbers, website, and other related information.
  • Provide verified customers with answers to basic questions regarding their general account information
  • Provide clerical support to departments within the main bank
  • Regular predictable absences
