About The Position

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our wood products manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality wood components according to specifications. Experience with Onsrud CNC machines is preferred.

Requirements

Knowledge of all CNC equipment, its use, and ability to operate it
Ability to use the telephone
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide; comprehend tape measures and calipers
Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, to write detailed correspondence, and to communicate information to customers and employees in English.
Ability to learn and use software computer applications

Responsibilities

May be required to operate and/or fill-in for anyone working in the department
Ensures accuracy of the final product, meets deadlines, and resolves issues relating to quality control standards
Strives to constantly and consistently seek more efficient methods to accomplish department goals within the guidelines of HI’s commitment of lean manufacturing principles
Reports to management, as needed, vendor issues relating to quality, quantity, and accuracy
Maintains safe work practices and rules; ensures forklift driving rules are followed
Reports all accidents and incidents to the department supervisor
Reports all personnel problems to the department supervisor
Safely and effectively remanufacture lumber and operate the MJ Rip Saw
Safely and effectively operate Onsrud router
Safely and effectively operate the drill stations “Vitap and TF-100’ equipment
Properly package and store units in the staging areas
Process paperwork with each job when applicable
Other Duties: as assigned
Properly load programs, mic and measure tools and origin points and input data into machine
Locate inventory per order
Assemble customer’s order inventory using prescribed banding/packaging methods
Restocks building materials in an appropriate location ensuring good organization
Identify all stock (lumber and/or sheet goods) by SKU
Stage material so manufacturing, and production can process, and ship finalized materials
Exercise’s care and concern of all inventories to reduce loss from mishandling
Exercise’s care and concern for equipment, material, and all personnel
Leaves work area clean, free of debris, and in a condition where another employee can work without having to clean before performing job duties
Perform preventative maintenance on all CNC equipment
