Incorporated in 1955 and encompassing more than 454 acres, the Mt. Prospect Park District provides outstanding recreational programs, events, parks, facilities and services. With seven primary facilities and 27 neighborhood parks, the Park District is an integral part of a thriving multi-generational community. District open space includes two outdoor pools, biking and walking paths, a dog park and sizable space for outdoor athletic programming. The District covers over 11 square miles and serves a region of over a quarter million residents in Mount Prospect and surrounding communities. We are searching for part-time Swim Lesson Instructors. We are willing to train energetic and reliable people with an interest in Aquatics! The pay rate for non-certified Swim Lesson Instructors teaching swim lessons is $16.00 per hour. The non-certified rate when training for the non-certified Swim Lesson Instructor position is $15.00 per hour. District employees also receive facility privileges and discounts. Candidates must be at least 16 years old to work as a Swim Lesson Instructor. Candidates must also be able to successfully pass a criminal background check. Specific work hours may vary; however, swim Lessons are offered on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday evenings from 4:30-7:30/8 pm, Saturday mornings from 9:30 am-12 pm, and Sunday mornings from 8:30 am-12 pm.
