About The Position

The YMCA is looking for energetic, dedicated individuals to join our Aquatics team and make a splash in our community! The Parkview Family YMCA is looking for an energetic, outgoing team player to fill the position of swim instructor to help create a safe and positive atmosphere in and around the pool and conduct swimming instruction in accordance with YUSA guidelines.

Requirements

At least 16 years old.
Certification by an approved organization, or willingness to be certified.
Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
Excellent human relations skills and enthusiasm.
An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Responsibilities

Connect: Build effective, authentic relationships with members, swim participants and parents.
Nurture: Ensure a safe and positive environment for the swim lesson participants to succeed in program goals.
Inspire: Encourage the involvement of all swim participants.
