The Parkview Family YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic and attentive part-time yoga instructor to join our team by connecting participants to one another and their wellness goals and fostering an atmosphere of small communities with fellow members by which the YMCA's mission can be fulfilled in a fun and healthy way.

Requirements

Minimum of 18 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Reliable transportation to and from work
Must have and maintain valid and current certifications outlined by position; certifications including ACE/YMCA, ACE, ACSM, AFAA, or NETA.
Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Nice To Haves

A degree in the health and fitness field is preferred.
One year of group exercise instruction or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

Connect: Build effective, authentic relationships with members and help to connect them with each other.
Serve: Adhere to appropriate and safe class structure, including all health and fitness components, and recognize when participants need assistance, acting promptly to help them.
Inspire: Lead energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes, as well as answer questions from participants to support them in their goals.
