The Senior Vice President of Marketing leads Alight’s tactical marketing organization, with a focus on execution, speed, and alignment to commercial priorities. This role is responsible for delivering practical, high-impact marketing support that enables sellers, supports clients, and reinforces consistent messaging across the business. This role will report to the Chief Commercial Officer (or equivalent). The SVP of Marketing is focused on running a lean, highly effective marketing team that partners closely with Product, Communications, Sales, and Client Management to bring Alight’s story to life in the market. The organization is intentionally smaller and more focused, requiring a hands-on leader who can prioritize, simplify, and deliver.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of marketing experience, with a strong emphasis on execution, field marketing, or commercial enablement.
  • Proven experience leading marketing teams in a B2B, services, or technology-enabled environment.
  • Experience operating effectively in a scaled-down or resource-constrained organization.
  • Strong background partnering with Sales and Product organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy & Execution Lead a streamlined marketing organization focused on execution rather than broad brand strategy.
  • Translate commercial and product priorities into clear, actionable marketing plans.
  • Ensure marketing efforts directly support sales effectiveness, client engagement, and growth priorities.
  • Operate with discipline and focus in a smaller team environment, setting clear priorities and trade-offs.
  • Digital Marketing Own digital marketing channels and campaigns, including web, digital demand support, and campaign execution.
  • Partner with Commercial leadership to support pipeline development and seller enablement.
  • Use performance data to continuously improve effectiveness and focus.
  • Content & Messaging Lead content development across sales, client, and external-facing materials.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Product verticals and Communications to ensure consistent messaging, positioning, and narrative.
  • Maintain a clear and consistent messaging framework across solutions, industries, and audiences.
  • Ensure content is practical, relevant, and easy for sellers and clients to use.
  • Events & Field Marketing Oversee Alight’s events strategy, including industry events, client events, and sales-supported engagements.
  • Ensure events are well executed, aligned to commercial priorities, and deliver clear business value.
  • Partner with Sales and Client Management to ensure strong planning and follow-through.
  • Design & Creative Services Lead an in-house design capability that supports sellers, clients, and external partners.
  • Ensure design resources are used efficiently and aligned to business priorities.
  • Deliver high-quality, on-brand materials across presentations, proposals, digital assets, and client-facing content.
  • People & Team Leadership Lead and develop a lean marketing organization, scaling from approximately 60 roles to a more focused team of about 15.
  • Set clear roles, expectations, and accountability across the team.
  • Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and delivery.
  • Develop strong working relationships across Commercial, Product, Communications, and Technology.
