About The Position

The SVP, Head of Global Programing & Content Strategy is responsible for the strategic leadership, development, and execution of WWE’s global programming portfolio across linear television, streaming, digital, and emerging platforms. This role partners closely with the Chief Content Officer to shape WWE’s creative and content strategy while maximizing audience growth, brand impact, and long-term franchise value. The position oversees programming strategy, content planning, and scheduling, serving as a key liaison between creative, production, distribution, and commercial teams.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in programming, content strategy, or media leadership, preferably within sports, live events, or entertainment.
  • Proven experience overseeing large-scale, multi-platform programming portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of linear TV, streaming ecosystems, and global content distribution.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance creative vision with business and audience objectives.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with live sports or sports-entertainment programming.
  • Familiarity with global media rights deals and international content strategy.
  • Background in managing premium, event-driven content franchises.

Responsibilities

  • Programming Strategy & Leadership Define and execute WWE’s global programming strategy across live events, episodic series, specials, and original content.
  • Align programming priorities with WWE’s brand vision, audience growth goals, and broader TKO business objectives.
  • Serve as a senior thought partner to the Chief Content Officer on content strategy, slate planning, and franchise development.
  • Content Development & Planning Oversee long-term content planning and short-term scheduling for all WWE programming initiatives.
  • Evaluate and greenlight new programming concepts in collaboration with creative, production, and talent leadership.
  • Balance live, scripted, unscripted, and archival content to optimize fan engagement across platforms.
  • Cross-Platform Execution Collaborate with distribution, media rights, and platform partners to optimize programming performance across broadcast, cable, streaming, and digital.
  • Ensure programming strategies are tailored to both domestic and international markets.
  • Support launch and lifecycle management of new shows and content franchises.
  • Performance & Analytics Partner with analytics and research teams to assess ratings, engagement, and audience behavior.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform programming decisions, scheduling, and content investment.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and evolving consumer viewing habits.
  • Team & Stakeholder Management Lead and develop a high-performing programming team.
  • Collaborate closely with creative, production, marketing, live events, and commercial teams.
  • Act as a key internal and external representative for WWE programming initiatives.
