Frida is looking for an SVP, Creative to join our team and express and elevate Frida's vision creatively. The SVP, Creative will lead creative direction and brand building across all touchpoints. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of editorial and language, lead strategic ideation, exceptional design chops, and an ability to navigate the intersection of creative, culture, and commerce.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design or related field
  • 15+ years with visual design and brand voice experience with high-growth brands in the consumer products space; founder-led in-house organization experience plus
  • 8+ years of experience managing and mentoring creative talent
  • Demonstrated ability to connect with consumers through creative design and storytelling
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach
  • Possess a strong command of editorial and language
  • Exceptional presentation skills– a requirement for both internal and external creative presentations
  • Experience with packaging, creative, design, language, and in-store experience
  • Brand building expertise from ideation through in-market execution, working closely with brand & strategy teams
  • Collaborative problem solver without ego and high emotional intelligence
  • Strong cross-functional and agency management experience, with the ability to take a creative strategy and bring it to life across multiple consumer touchpoints
  • Curious by nature with a willingness to try new approaches
  • Strategic thinker with a proven track record of building a high-performing team of creative talent
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in which requirements & priorities constantly change
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with close attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Elevate brand vision by leading creative direction and brand building across all touchpoints for our portfolio of brands
  • Develop and guide the long-term strategic vision for how our brand is expressed to external audiences
  • Create and execute compelling brand experiences through creative that drives media, buzz, and customer attention
  • Develop consistent, brand-aligned creative that delivers the highest impact to the Frida audiences
  • Lead brainstorming and creation of concepts for best-in-class executions across paid, owned and earned media
  • Lead and build a creative team of 6+ members, including designers, copywriters, producers, and foster their creative and technical expertise
  • Maintain a pulse on creative trends and an evolving creativity sensibility to keep Frida brands always relevant
  • Oversee multiple projects through all stages of development, asset and content creation, from concept through to production and final delivery
  • Recruit, lead, and collaborate with external creative and production agencies to make sure that the Frida brand is represented in the best light and to help connect our internal teams and ideas with their work
  • Guide the day-to-day work of all direct reports, giving them critical feedback, inspiration, and guidance on career growth and professional development
  • Additional projects oversight as the business evolves
