About The Position

This intern will report to the Sustainability & ESG Team. In this role, you will support Columbia Bank’s sustainability efforts with one of three projects, which will be determined by intern’s strengths and the program's priorities. Potential projects include calculating GHG emissions, proposing a “green” product or service, or designing a waste reduction program. Your objective will be to calculate Columbia Bank's 2025 Scope 3 Category 15 Emissions, present a competitive assessment of potential "green" finance products, and/or establish a waste optimization pilot program for 3-5 branches.

Requirements

  • You’re an undergraduate student aiming to graduate in spring 2026/2027 or a recent graduate within the last year.
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours/week), fully onsite, for 10 weeks starting in June.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Environmental Studies, Data Science, and/or Business with a focus on ESG or Sustainability
