Coleman Company, Inc. is seeking a reliable and hardworking Land Survey Crew Member to support our growing Surveying Division in Savannah, GA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on fieldwork, working outdoors, and contributing to accurate and efficient surveying operations. The Land Survey Crew Member will work under the direction of a licensed land surveyor and alongside other crew members to support daily field activities. We’re seeking a dependable team player with strong attention to detail and an interest in land surveying. Previous field surveying experience is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate enjoys physical outdoor work, is eager to learn, and can follow instructions while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

  • Assist in setting up and operating surveying equipment including total stations, GPS receivers, and levels.
  • Help prepare, maintain, and care for field equipment (cleaning, calibrating, adjusting).
  • Perform basic field measurements and calculations.
  • Collect, record, and organize accurate field data.
  • Clear vegetation, debris, and obstacles that may interfere with survey activities.
  • Follow instructions from the Survey Crew Chief or Licensed Land Surveyor.
  • Adhere to all safety standards, field protocols, and company policies.
  • Assist with interpreting field data and preparing basic field notes as required.
  • Collaborate with crew members to complete daily assignments efficiently.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of surveying equipment, vehicles, and tools.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Previous land surveying or field experience preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with surveying tools and equipment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physical stamina including ability to lift, walk long distances, and work on uneven terrain.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a crew environment.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Previous land surveying or field experience preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with surveying tools and equipment is a plus.
