About The Position

Assistant Shift Managers are employed to direct Surveillance staff in performing their daily duties, ensure consistent internal and external customer service, assist with scheduling, payroll, corrective action, departmental training, and shift coverage. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for supervising staff and the overall daily management of any designated shift(s) in the Surveillance department. Responsible for assisting the Surveillance Manager with daily responsibilities. Will act as the department point of contact in the Surveillance Manager's absence. Assists with creating effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs. Reviewing and approving the department's payroll. Addressing payroll issues as they arise. Responsible for ongoing training of Surveillance personnel including staff development and training programs. Responsible for departmental recognition programs to maximize associate engagement. Enforce internal control policies and procedures. Assist in developing, installation, and the implementation of the Surveillance department equipment training and repair. Ensures monitoring of premises to detect crimes or disturbances, using closed circuit television monitors, and notifies authorities if need be. The video recording of activities in the count room and the video recording of movements of cash, slot cash storage boxes and table game drop boxes. The surveillance of areas used for the storage of gaming chips, plaques, cards, dice, Roulette balls, and other equipment used to conduct table games. The clandestine monitoring of detection of cheating, theft, embezzlement and other illegal activities within the licensed facility. The detection of the presence of any individual who may or is required to be excluded or ejected from the licensed facility under section 1514 or 1515 of the act and Chapters 511a and 513a or is self-excluded from the gaming floor and gaming activities at all licensed facilities under section 1516 of the act and Chapter 503a. The video recording of those locations, individuals, activities or transactions required under 465a.9(e) and of any illegal and unusual activities monitored by the surveillance department. The clandestine surveillance of any slot computer system or equipment designated for coverage by the Board in conjunction with the approval of a slot machine system, including a slot monitoring system, electronic gaming table system, casino management systems, wide area progressive system, gaming voucher system and any communication equipment with the central control computer. Installation, maintenance and repair of the surveillance system equipment used by the surveillance department. Working knowledge of OASIS applications including but not limited to information pertaining to the following: cage, pit, credit, marketing, player club, player tracking, game/table reports, customer inquiries, credit inquiries and self-exclusion data, and iTrak. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, must work and cooperate with PGCB, and comply with their requests. Ensure that proper security and chain of custody is maintained on all department evidence. Any other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four years' experience in Surveillance or Security in high-volume industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be able to receive and maintain all required certifications.
  • Must complete all company training.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from associates, managers, business partners, and patrons.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and as business needs dictate.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and willing and able to obtain a Pennsylvania Gaming License.
