Executes the maintenance of supplies, instruments, and equipment used in operating room. Job Responsibility Maintains surgical implants and supply par levels; places purchase orders for required surgical implants and supplies; receives surgical supply deliveries. Verifies accuracy of deliveries with purchase orders on file. Transports and stores items in appropriate locations. Enters implant tracking serial numbers into department computer system. Assists in reviewing daily case schedule and pick lists and prepares case carts accordingly. Enters each patient’s surgical supply profile in department computer system. Captures and records surgical supply charges for all surgical cases. Identifies and corrects implant and supply discrepancies, as needed. Maintains constant communication with Purchasing, Materials Management, and related departments. Performs related duties as required.
