The Medical Records Support Specialist provides administrative and operational support for the maintenance, accuracy, and security of patient health records. This role is responsible for document management, data entry, record processing, and assisting with release of information in compliance with regulatory standards. The position plays a key role in ensuring timely, accurate, and complete health information to support quality patient care. What is PACE? PACE or Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly is a federal and state funded program that provides comprehensive, coordinated, and proactive whole-person care to help maintain and improve seniors' health so they can live safely in their homes. There are 180 PACE programs, serving more than 80,700 participants in 33 states. The number of people aged 55+ is increasing in Grand Junction, CO and the demand for eldercare professionals is on the rise.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years experience in medical records, healthcare administration, or similar role preferred.
- Experience with EHR systems strongly preferred.
- Experience with document management and data entry preferred.
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills and customer services skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
