About The Position

The General Manager of Operations Support leads the Operations Support team with full responsibility for staffing, coordination, and execution of after-hours operations. This role ensures seamless overnight and weekend support for drivers by maintaining operational continuity, enforcing SOPs, and serving as the primary escalation point to protect safety, service, and customer commitments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; required
  • 2+ years of transportation experience; required
  • 1+ year of supervisor or teal lead experience; required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows.
  • Ability to learn and use proprietary software.
  • Servant leadership
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work with high expectations and accountability

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree (Supply Chain, Business Management, or relatable field); preferred
  • AS400 experience; a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, training, coaching, and developing team members.
  • Working directly with drivers to ensure they are safe while meeting customers and company expectations
  • Effective & efficient communication skills encompassing hand-offs, emails, phone calls & follow-ups with any departments necessary.
  • Run and monitor all SOPs for operations
  • Breakdown and recovery management for support Hours
  • Customer support for support hours ensuring loads are on time
  • Other duties as assigned.
