About The Position

The Behavioral Health Services Supervisor supports the behavioral health services for The Center by ensuring that personnel and administrative operations run efficiently. They are responsible for all aspects of the front office duties that include managing the patient schedule for The Center providers, greeting and registering patients, schedule appointments, collect payments and maintain medical records. Serve patients by greeting them, answering routine questions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts. Assists in developing, implementing, and revising policies and procedures to ensure that everyone within their office adheres to the high standards of patient care expected Uses Avatar, appointment reminder systems, mobile applications, and other forms of technology to manage scheduling, interact with patients and providers, and update files and patients’ records. Assist patients in filling out insurance forms and other patient records. Provides referrals, and schedules appointments for medical tests and lab work for patients as needed. Sending labs to the Laboratory for patients who have weekly or monthly draws due to medications Sending records to requestor for clients Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying the provider of a patient’s arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays. Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records. Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information. Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, monitoring credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims. Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, the delivery of supplies. Help patients in distress by responding to emergencies and solving problems. Collects, sorts, distributes, or prepares mail, messages, or courier deliveries. 4Prepares, distributes, and maintains a variety of reports. May assist in interviewing job applicants and training of new program employees. Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information. Assists CEO as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years of Program Coordination/Administrative Assistant experience or equivalent.
  • Must have excellent cooperation, coordination, and diplomatic skills.
  • Strong, well-developed set of cultural competency skills.
  • Excellent leadership, time management and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding abilities to communicate in person, in writing and over the phone.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other office management tools and applications
