About The Position

We are looking for a Support Service Assistant to join our Team! Situated in the heart of the beautiful Willamette Valley just outside of Eugene/Springfield (Oregon) Jasper Mountain is a children’s 24/7 psychiatric, residential treatment facility committed to helping the most vulnerable and traumatized children in Oregon, and around the country. A one-of-kind nonprofit, Jasper Mountain is often the last hope for children (ages 4-13) who have experienced trauma, have not been successful in out-of-home placements, have been hospitalized for psychiatric reasons, and more. Utilizing a trauma-informed care model that focuses on a holistic treatment approach enhancing the mind, body, and spirit, Jasper Mountain is truly a place of hope and healing for our clients. Jasper Mountain operates a school at both agency sites, SAFE Center & Jasper Mountain Center. It is a K-8 private school operated by Jasper Mountain, a private non-profit agency which provides treatment services for emotionally disturbed children in residential and day treatment settings. Jasper Mountain School is registered through the Oregon Department of Education as a Private Alternative School. The school works closely with Springfield Public Schools and specializes in students with serious mental health and behavioral issues. Requirements

  • Any combination of education, training and personal experience that provides knowledge of household, cooking and related services.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the facilities where the children live in appropriate condition, i.e. cleaning and sanitizing among other tasks.
  • Assist with meal preparations, clothing, supplies, holiday preparations, and other needs of the children and programs.
  • Assist with the daily needs of the children and staff who work in the programs with attention to cultural sensitivity and special needs as directed.
  • Perform other functions as directed.
