About The Position

Peraton is seeking an Support Product Analyst (SPA) to be part of a cutting edge, mission focused team supporting the Deep Space Network (DSN) in Monrovia, CA with NASA/JPL. The Support Product Analyst (SPA) provides entry-level mission operations support for NASA spacecraft by assisting in the preparation, validation, and delivery of mission support products to tracking stations worldwide, including those within the Deep Space Network (DSN). This role supports service preparation, testing, coordination, and reporting activities in accordance with NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (NASA/JPL) operational standards and procedures. The SPA works under the direction of senior operations and engineering staff and supports both nominal and critical mission activities. This position also includes support for Radio Metric Data Conditioning (RMDC) activities related to navigation tracking data.

Requirements

  • 0 years with BS/BA; 4 years no degree
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills suitable for technical and operational environments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures
  • Analytical aptitude and willingness to learn DSN and mission operations systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based, mission-critical environment with guidance from senior staff.
  • Must be able to obtain a trusted background check and pass a National Criminal Information Check (NCIC). To obtain a clearance, you need to be a US Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
  • Must possess and retain a valid Driver’s License (Real ID).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with end-to-end service preparation activities supporting the generation and delivery of DSN mission support products
  • Support coordination with Operations Chiefs, DSN Schedulers, Network Operations Project Engineers, Operations Engineers, and System Administrators
  • Utilize Service Preparation Subsystem (SPS) workstations and tools to submit, retrieve, validate, and manage mission input and output products
  • Assist with operational testing of SPS-related software, tools, and documentation in accordance with JPL processes
  • Support processing of spacecraft ephemeris (SPK) files, view periods, predictions, and spacecraft event definition files
  • Provide operational support during launches, critical mission events, and DSN Emergency Control Center (ECC) activations
  • Prepare weekly activity, metrics, and status reports as required by contract
  • Support RMDC activities including retrieval, processing, and initial validation of radiometric tracking data
  • Participate in RMDC testing and provide standby support for navigation-critical events
  • Complete all required NASA/JPL training and comply with established procedures, security requirements, and quality standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Extended or non-standard work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required in support of launches, emergency operations, and other mission-critical events.
